Any resume must contain the following paragraphs i.e.

  1. 1) Contact details
  2. 2) Experience
  3. 3) Education

But the question is whether you want your presentation in such a dreary notification of any government department? Definitely not, and you will bet your last penny, I am sure.

Our aim is to get instant reaction to our presentation which leads to a minimum interview.

This means that your resume should only contain relevant and apt information and any other inappropriate detail not only occupies the pages but also to turn away the attention of the evaluators. So naturally in addition to the above details you must show your additional skills like computer proficiency, special training acquired like wise. These special skills have to be presented in such a manner that it fits into the assignment sought for. This also calls for one further aspect, that instead of keeping our resume readily available with Photostat copies, it is better to keep in such a position to make suitable amendments in commensurate with requirements of the employer without omitting your core details.

Pharmaceutical Resumes

A drug manufacturing or a pharmaceutical company is full time commercial enterprise with specific sanction from the government for the research, development and marketing of drugs most specifically for the health care. It involves lot of regulatory mechanism for the obvious reason that it involves mainly of human beings. A new variety of consumerism involves in pharmaceutical industry as prescription and non prescription drugs are legally distinguished from one another. So a professional of Pharmaceutical industry should have knowledge of related companies like bio technology where biological systems or living organisms to manufacture or extent the use of any specified drugs.

So our aim is to make our resume if we are in this highly sophisticated field, to be exceptionally good at the first sight it self. As we have seen in the above paragraphs this industry revolves around research, development marketing and distribution. So naturally the careers also are in these fields mainly. Depends upon our need, choice and requirements we have to highlight our skills to capture the attention of the prospective employers. The most appropriate way is to show the OBJECTIVE immediately after the contact details. Let us examine some of the objectives which can be shown in a pharmaceutical resumes:

  1. AN EXPERIENCED M PHARM HOLDER HAVING 10 YEARS OF EXPERINCE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF LIFE SAVING DRUGS WITH A RENOWNED PHRAMACEUTICAL SET UP.
  2. A B PHARM WITH 5 YEARS EXPOSURE IN THE MARKETING OF NON PRESCRITIVE DRUGS.
  3. A POST GRADUATE IN CHEMISTRY EXPERIENCED AS DRUG CONSULTANT FOR MANY RENOWNED SURGEONS.

These are some of the suggestions but not exhaustive, what I am trying to prove is that immediately after the contact details we have to arrest the attention of the employer to our favour.

Yes having done our bit to place our resume to the select bunch, we can go for the details of experience. It is always better to start from the latest and towards downwards till the first assignment. We have to be quantitative as far as possible with the name of the organisation worked for and years of assignment. In addition to this you can definitely include how your service has benefited the organisation with clear terms without any ambiguity. Ambiguity I mean is that you must be honest and if you are adding frills it is sure to skip from your memory at the time of interview and thereby losing your grip on your own resume. In other words you are likely to loose your command on a document which is your own.

Pharmaceutical Resumes

Now it is time for presenting your educational credentials. Pharmaceutical industry which is highly scientific oriented should have the basic support of good academics support. It is a bonus point but that does not mean if you were an average or above average student your career is blocked, what matters is your exposure and your soft skills. Unlike in some other resumes where the latest qualification is more than enough, in pharmaceutical field it is better to have details from your secondary level onwards. If there is a gap in between two qualifications, the reason for the same should be specified like taken up temporary job or took time off for preparing entrance examination, likewise.

At the last paragraph if you have any special aptitude relevant to the industry or undertaken some special assignment in addition to the normal assignments in the field, I assure you it is going to help you tremendously. It will strengthen your OBJECTIVE. So have it under the head Tips or Special mention.

Your interest and hobbies need not be relevant at the same time it is not a disqualification too. You may mention, some employers may take an interest in this.
